The staff at SV Transmission diagnosed my recurrent check engine light (which a non-specialist auto shop had repeatedly failed to resolve), gave me fair price estimates, and only charged me for a half-hour inspection before referring me to a great local place (now my go-to mechanic!) that would install a used transmission. Honest shop, fast service, and willing to sit on the phone with me and really talk through the issue and all my options for resolving it. I came out knowing exactly what was wrong with my car, who could fix it, how much it ought to cost, and how safe it was to drive. Would absolutely recommend this place; a must for tricky transmission issues, and very patient with a customer who knows way too little about cars.
