These guys are absolutely amazing! I was nervous about finding someone comfortable working on classic Mustangs and these guys never batted an eye when I brought it in. They quickly went through the car, let me know what it was going to take to get it working well, and even worked around an incompatibility with a rare part a previous owner installed in the transmission. Great communicators. Superb work. Won't go anywhere else for transmission work.

Excellent service and very honest straight forward diagnostic evaluations. Brought my older F-250 truck in with a leaking well worn auto trans. and they got right on it, removed and rebuilt it with many new parts at an affordable price, less than a week later had my truck back driving as good as new!. I would recommend this shop to anybody that needs transmission work or servicing done. 5 stars for sure!

Great communication, service, and professionalism. I highly recommend! This place is great! I have a 30 year old toyota pickup that was popping out of gear and needed fixing. This is an old junker, but still needed, so I made a few calls around. The first couple of places I tried said it was too old and they were not interested in the job. The next place told me (sight unseen, mind you) that the tranny would need to be split and the sychros replaced to the tune of over $1500. The next place I tried said it probably was a shifter bushing (which it was) and they could do it, BUT they would have to fabricate the part due to the age of the truck at additional cost. When I got around to calling Scotts Valley Transmission, they scheduled me within the week to do diag on the problem. They replaced the bushing with a proper, commercially available part, and got me on my way at a VERY REASONABLE PRICE. Most of the cost of the repair was absorbed in the diagnostic stage, so I'm very happy. Go there!

I have a Toyota Tacoma with 280,000 miles on it. It was having issues and took it to a transmission shop in Salinas. They told me the transmission was going bad. I took it to Scott's Valley Transmission for a second opinion. They diagnosed the problem as a throttle position sensor and a spark plug misfiring. They literally saved me thousands of dollars in repairs and have earned my business for as long as I live in the area. This is an honest shop!!! Brad was very helpful and knowledgeable and was patient in explaining the problem. Scott's Valley Transmission got my truck fixed fast and done right. My truck is running great now and I am so stoked!!! Thanks!!!
