Having been a working shop owner of 25 years before retiring, I felt very comfortable working with Rigo and his techs. I know the business inside and out but didn't have the time or diagnostic computers to do this particular repair to my vehicle. They were very good at explaining what was going on and my truck runs great!

Mark and Rigo are the bomb! They really take the time to explain the scope of work needed and why. They provide thorough and well written / documented explanations as well as send reminders for recommended work. We have been using them for all of our work trucks for years and will continue to do so. Highly recommend.

I have brought three cars to Scott's Valley Transmission clinic so far. My most recent trip was specifically for a transmission service. Scott's Valley Transmission techs noticed a check engine light, and diagnosed the issues related to that, as well as inspected the brakes and tires on my car. This was above and beyond anything I asked them to do, and they didn't charge me a dime extra. This is one of those treasures in Santa Cruz County that is doing business the right way. Not only this, but the staff is courteous and patient, which is an absolute anomaly in Santa Cruz County. No need to take it to San Jose for quality service, just cruise on down the road to Scott's Valley transmissions, and it's all good. I'm about to bring another car to get worked on there in a few weeks!

They made a prompt next day appointment. Everything went as planned. Before hours drop off and after hours pick up And they communicated with me very well and sent a written report.

They quickly determined that the transmission completely failed. They ordered a replacement and installed it the next day. I picked the car up and agreed to a follow up appointment in a week. The car drove ok, however I noted two problems. One was the drive mode indicater should have lighted up on the dash, it did not. The other problem was that when descending a hill the transmission should have shifted down automatically. It did not. The Tech should have caught both. Now corrected.
